Glenn Homers in 4-2 Loss to Trenton Tuesday

MANCHESTER, NH- Brad Glenn homered and Michael Crouse had three hits and an RBI but the Fisher Cats dropped a 4-2 decision to Trenton at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium Tuesday night.
Trenton put together three singles in the top of the first inning to score a run against Fisher Cats starter Deck McGuire. Ben Gamel singled but was erased on a fielders choice by Rob Segedin. Gary Sanchez singled Segedin to second and he scored on a single by Kyle Roller for a 1-0 lead.
The Thunder (16-9) made it 2-0 in the top of the second when RF Yeral Sanchez hit his first home run of the season on the first pitch of the frame.
Each team scored a run in the fourth inning. Kyle Roller doubled for Trenton, scoring on a single by Ali Castillo. Brad Glenn answered in the bottom of the frame with a solo home run to cut Trenton's lead to 3-1.
Trenton added a run in the top of the sixth inning. Rob Refsnyder walked, stole second and scored on a single by Taylor Dugas, who extended his hit streak to 16 games in putting his team up 4-1.
The Fisher Cats (11-12) cut the lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning. Andy Burns and Glenn drew walks and Burns scored on a single by Crouse.
Joel De La Cruz (3-2) earned the win in relief for Trenton. He worked 4.2 innings, allowing two runs. Trenton started Manny Banuelos, who worked three scoreless innings in his first Double-A start of the season. Pat Venditte and Brandon Pinder finished up the win with Pinder earning his second save working around a Brian Van Kirk single in the ninth.
McGuire (3-2) worked 5.1 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits for the Fisher Cats. He walked three and struck out one. John Anderson pitched two scoreless innings in relief with four strikeouts and Randy Boone finished up without allowing a run.
The series continues on Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. with the third of four games against Trenton (Yankees Double-A). The Fisher Cats will host a Chamber Mixer where business people come together at the ballpark, courtesy of Small Dog Electronics .
The Fisher Cats will turn to LHP Matt Boyd in his Double-A debut against Trenton LHP Matt Tracy (3-0, 4.79). Radio coverage begins at 5:15 p.m. with Tom Gauthier on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network and streamed at www.nhfishercats.com .
