Glads Sign Marietta Native, Haddad Returns from Hamilton

The Gwinnett Gladiators signed former Dartmouth forward Doug Jones. In addition, forward Joey Haddad was re-assigned to Gwinnett from Hamilton of the AHL.

Jones, 24, scored 11 goals and added 14 assists in 31 games for Dartmouth this season while serving as an Assistant Captain. The Marietta, GA native played in 127 games over his four-year collegiate career totaling 29 goals and 78 assists. Prior to Dartmouth Jones spent two seasons in the USHL with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

Haddad, 23, returns from his second trip of the season to the American Hockey League. In 11 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs Haddad scored one goal and had an even plus/minus rating, while in 38 games so far this season with Gwinnett he racked up 15 goals and 15 assists along with 88 penalty minutes.

Haddad split time during each of his first two professional seasons with the Wheeling Nailers and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. He had 43 points (21 goals, 22 assists) in 50 games with Wheeling last year and collected four points (one goal, three assists) in 16 AHL games.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
