Road Trippin': The Gladiators play nine of their next 10 games on the road.

Special Teams: The Gladiators own the American Conference's best power play unit, scoring 58 times in 263 man-advantages (22.1%). Also, they are ranked last in the league on the penalty kill at home but first in the league on the penalty kill on the road with 88.3% killed off.

Sin Bin: With 852 penalty minutes, the Gladiators are the fourth least penalized team in the league.

Blanked: The Gladiators suffered their first shut out of the season in Friday's 4-0 loss to South Carolina. There are now only two teams yet to be shutout this season: Elmira and Cincinnati.

All-Star: Drew Paris leads all rookie defenseman in scoring with 33 points.

Dropping the Gloves: The Gladiators have just one fighting major in the last seven games and only two in their past 11.

Rebound: The Gladiators are 13-8-0-1 in games following regulation losses.

Stingy: Gwinnett is 14-0 when holding opponents to less than three goals and 21-6 when holding opponents under four goals.

5 Alive: The Gladiators are 12-1-0-1 when scoring at least five goals and are 16-2-1-0 when leading after 2 periods.

First Blood: Gwinnett is 20-7-2-1 in games when scoring first.

- February 19, South Carolina 4, Gwinnett 0 - L

The Gwinnett Gladiators suffered their first shutout loss since January of 2009, as Rob Ricci, Spencer Carbery, Keith Johnson, and Matt Scherer each scored goals for the Stingrays. The Gladiators matched a season-low of 15 shots in the game. Danny Taylor made 39 saves in the loss, while Shane Connelly stopped all 15 Gladiator shots for the shutout.

- February 21, Charlotte 7, Gwinnett 2 - L

The Charlotte Checkers opened up a 6-0 lead going into the third period before Matt Francis got the Gladiators on the board with a power play goal at 2:25 of the third period. Matt Schepke completed his three-goal hat trick at 6:57 before Francis notched his second power play goal of the game with an odd bounce off the glass at 14:08 to cap the scoring at 7-2. Each team had two power play goals, and Ryan Munce made 24 saves for the win.

The Gladiators look to get back into the playoff picture on a three-game road trip this week that takes them to Kalamazoo for two and then to the new Lucas County Arena in Toledo, Ohio for the first time as they take on the Walleye Saturday night before heading back South.

The Gladiators continue their 7th season in the ECHL on the road on Wednesday, February 24th @ Kalamazoo at 10:30 a.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and Columbus Blue Jackets and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
