Gladiators Sign Narbonne, Release Nunn & Scrymgeour

The Gwinnett Gladiators have signed defenseman Jonathan Narbonne and have released defenseman Brad Nunn and forward John Scrymgeour.

Narbonne, 20, completed is over-age year in junior hockey with the Moncton Wildcats in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this season. He earned 40 points (nine goals, 31 assists) in 57 games and also posted on assist in five playoff games with Moncton. He began the season with the Shawinigan Cataractes and had seven points (one goal, five assists) in six games before he was traded to Moncton on October 9, 2012

The Laval, Quebec native helped Shawinigan to a Memorial Cup Championship in the 2011-12 season. He earned one assist in six Memorial Cup Games. Narbonne completed his junior career in the QMJHL with 104 points (23 goals, 81 assists) in 229 career junior games from 2007-2013.

Scrymgeour earned six points (two goals, four assists) in 42 games with Gwinnett this season. He was also a -19 in plus/minus rating. He earned 31 points (16 goals, 15 assists) in 86 games combined with Reading over the previous two seasons. He also appeared in three AHL games with Portland in 2010-11 but did not register a point.

Nunn earned one assist in nine games with Gwinnett this season. He joined the Gladiators following his senior season at SUNY-Ferdonia. With the Blue Devils, Nunn collected 30 points (seven goals, 23 assists) in 102 career collegiate games from 2009-2013.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
