Bakersfield Condors News Release

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (22-44-2-4, 50pts) opened the scoring, but the San Francisco Bulls (25-38-2-7, 59pts) scored five straight to take a 5-1 win Saturday night at Rabobank Arena in the 2012-13 season finale.

In an evenly played first period, the Condors and Bulls both put home power play tallies to get on the board. Rookie Condors D Scott Macaulay notched his first career goal when his shot was deflected past Bulls G Tomas Heemskerk at 10:22. The Bulls answered just over two minutes later to tie it up at 1-1. Shots were 15-14 in the period. Condors G Scott Greenham also stopped a Bulls penalty shot by F Kory Falite with a minute left in the frame to keep it tied.

On the first shift of the second the Bulls took their first lead of the night on D Mark Isherwood's blast. They extended the lead with two goals in the span of a minute and four seconds to make it 4-1 San Francisco. Bakersfield had a 35-25 shot lead through 40 minutes, however.

The Bulls added a power play marker in the third frame to extend the lead and give them five unanswered in the game. Bakersfield was whistled for 29 minutes in penalties in the third period alone, and spent much of the frame shorthanded.
