SF Bulls Cap off Regular Season with 5-1 Win in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls (25-38-2-7) capped off their inaugural regular season with a convincing 5-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors (22-44-2-4), Saturday night at Rabobank Arena. Mikael Tam scored twice, and Thomas Heemskerk stopped 38 shots in the Bulls' final tune-up before the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Bakersfield struck first with a power-play tally with 9:38 remaining in the first period on a goal by Scott Macaulay. Just 2:05 later, Tam scored on the power play to even the score at one. Mark Isherwood and Brett Findlay earned the assists on the goal. Shots were 16-14 in favor of the Bulls after 20 minutes.

In the second period, the Bulls scored three times to take control of the game. Just 27 seconds into the period, Isherwood scored his first goal in a Bulls uniform. Bryan Cameron and Kory Falite set him up for the goal. The Bulls went up 3-1 when Dylan King's shot pinballed off some skates and over the goal line. Daultan Leveille was credited with his second goal with the Bulls. An assist was also credited to Findlay at 4:40 of the second period. At 5:44 of the second period, the Bulls went up 4-1 on Tam's second goal of the game. Jordan Morrison and Kris Belan collected assists on the play.

The Bulls added to their lead in the third period on an Antoine Corbin blast on the power play. Rob Kwiet and Christian Ouellet earned the assists on the goal that made it 5-1 with 6:10 left in regulation.

The Bulls begin the Kelly Cup Playoffs on Friday in Alaska against the Aces for Game 1 at 8:15 pm. The Bulls return home for Game 3 on Thursday, April 11 at 7:15 pm at the Cow Palace. Get "Pay as We Play" Packs - d2 for discounts on walk-up prices.
