Gladiators Sign Erickson

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have signed forward Luke Erickson. The forward comes to the Gladiators after completing his senior season at Bemidji State University.

Erickson ranked sixth in scoring with the Beavers this season in only 18 games as he posted 13 goals and 3 assists for 16 points. He finished with 8 power play goals to lead Bemidji State in that category while sharing second with one shorthanded goal on the season.

The 5-foot-8, 165-pound forward finished his collegiate career with Bemidji State as the Beavers all time leading scorer finishing with 121 points. He also became the second player in Beavers history to record 50 goals in a career helping him move into sixth place all time in scoring among College Hockey America players.

The Roseau, Minnesota native was named to the First Team All CHA as well as to the Academic All CHA team while serving as the Beavers Assistant Captain during the 2005-06 season. In addition, he was twice named the CHA player of the week for October 17th and December 5th.

Erickson should be available for the Gladiators for Friday's 8:05 p.m. tilt in Pensacola against the Ice Pilots.
