Forward Bryan Brutlag has been called up to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League from the Gladiators while defenseman Matt MacKenzie has been assigned to Gwinnett from the Rochester Americans of the AHL. In addition, defenseman Tyler Kindle has been released from the team.

Brutlag has appeared in four career AHL games, all with Norfolk. He has not registered a point but has earned a +1 plus minus rating in the AHL. The Lakeville, Minnesota native currently leads all Gladiators rookies and shares first in scoring with 46 points (20 goals, 26 assists) in 65 games this season. He has also earned a +4 plus/minus rating while with Gwinnett.

The 5-foot-11, 189-pound forward earned 60 points (21 goals, 39 assists) in 151 career collegiate games at RPI from 2007-2011. He had a career best eight goals at RPI during his senior season in 2010-11.

MacKenzie earned one assist in three games with the Gladiators after he was assigned to Gwinnett on February 28th. In 17 games this season with Rochester, MacKenzie has tallied four points, all assists, and is a +2 in the AHL.

The New Westminster, British Columbia native skated four years in the Western Hockey League with the Calgary Hitmen and the Tri-City Americans from 2007-2011. He earned 98 points (18 goals, 80 assists) in 225 career junior games. Mackenzie was selected by the Buffalo Sabres with the 83rd overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Kindle earned five points (two goals, three assists) in 17 games with Gwinnett this season. He also appeared in 17 games with Bakersfield and Utah where he amassed three points off of one goal and two asssits.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
