Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that the St. Patrick's Day Jersey Auction raised $15,050 for the American Brain Tumor Association.

The Express wore special St. Patrick's Day jerseys on Saturday, March 17, against the Trenton Titans, and held a live auction immediately after the game. The Express auctioned off 26 jerseys on Saturday night, raising $15,050 for charity. Defenseman Darcy Campbell's jersey netted the highest total, bringing in $2,000 midway through the auction. Despite being up in the AHL since January, fan favorite forward Bobby Robins' jersey was auctioned off for $1,000, and the auction concluded with a $900 bid for the jersey worn by defenseman and team captain Nathan Lutz.

"I want to thank the fans for helping the Express make the contribution to the American Brain Tumor Association on behalf of Steve Talbott," said Chicago Express owner Craig Drecktrah. "The Talbott family and I really appreciate all of the support."

The Express travel to Kalamazoo on Friday night, and then host the Wings and the Toledo Walleye at the Sears Centre Arena on Saturday and Sunday. Following Sunday's game, everyone in attendance is invited to a free skate with the team immediately after the game.
