MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Every two seconds somebody in the US needs blood. The average blood donation is about one pint and just that one pint of blood can save up to three people's lives. So what are you waiting for?

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark Friday, May 11th, from 2-7pm. The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be outside the park's main gate during those hours.

All those who donate at the Bloodmobile on May 11th with receive two Pelicans Beach Bum passes, good to be exchanged for tickets any Pelicans game throughout the 2012 season, along with two tickets to Carmike's Cinema at Broadway at the Beach. The Pelicans play at home after the blood drive, hosting the Salem Red Sox at 7:05.
