The San Jose Giants...return from a nine game Road Trip one half game back from the Visalia Oaks for the Northern Division lead. The Giants open a three game series with the Modesto Nuts on Friday night. Two of the three games will be played at Municipal Stadium, with Saturday's game being played at John Thurman Field in Modesto.

Lenn Sakata tracking to create SJ Giants History...Wednesday night's victory was the 382nd for Lenn Sakata as the San Jose Giants manager. John "Red" Marion is the all-time winningest manager in the history of San Jose minor league baseball with 385 victories. Marion, who passed away in 1975, skippered the San Jose Red Sox from 1952-54 and the Angels affiliate here in 1962 & '63.

Brian Anderson breaking records...Closer Brian Anderson pitched a perfect ninth Inning Wednesday, to notch his club record 34th save. Anderson's 34 saves ties the Cal League record for saves in a season. The right-hander shares the honor with Rafael Chaves of the 1992 High Desert Mavericks and Bill Everly of the 1999 San Bernardino Stampede.
