NOTES

- Two of Jesper Vikman's first three wins in the WHL have come via the shutout. He's the only WHL goaltender so far this season to record two shutouts.

- Ty Thorpe has now scored in back-to-back games and has recorded points in four of his team's first five games on the season.

- Cade McNelly returned to the Giants lineup tonight after missing the first four games of the season due to a suspension that carried over from the 2021 Hub season with Seattle. McNelly finished the night with three shots on goal, and two penalty minutes.

QUOTES

"We talked about rhythm over rest. Kelowna has been waiting for us for over a week and there is nothing like playing games. We can teach just through playing games from one game to the next." - Michael Dyck

"I just walked out to the slot and tried to get it on net and got lucky and it actually went in." - Justin Lies on the game winning goal.
