Vancouver, B.C. - Giants General Manager Glen Hanlon announced today that the Giants have recalled 2001-born defenceman Parker Hendren (Regina, SK) ahead of this weekend's home-and-home series with the Kamloops Blazers.

Originally selected by the Giants in the seventh round (134th overall) of the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft, the 5'11", 180 pound defenceman signed a Standard WHL Player Agreement with the Giants in July, 2017. So far this season he's scored three goals while adding 10 assists for 13 points in 11 games with the SMHL's Regina Pat Canadians. Hendren helped the Pat Canadians to a SMHL league championship in 2016-17 along with a berth in the Telus Cup.

Hendren will wear number 11 for the Giants.

With the addition of Parker Hendren the Giants roster now sits at 24: 13 forwards, nine defencemen and two goaltenders.
