Giants re-assign three

Vancouver Giants News Release


Following the conclusion of their pre-season schedule, the Vancouver Giants have trimed their roster and re-assigned the following three players:

Scott Gabriel (16) Defenceman Edmonton, Alberta
Mike McDonald (16) Defenceman West Vancovuer, B.C.
Tommy Tartaglione (16) Goalie Harbor City, California

These three players have not yet determined whether they will be playing Jr. A, Jr. B, or midget hockey.

The Giants roster now stands at 25 (2 goalies, 8 defencemen, 15 forwards).

Here is the Giants practice schedule for this week:

Mon. Sept. 20 Tilbury Ice Centre 2:30-4:15pm
Tues. Sept. 21 Tilbury Ice Centre 2:30-4:15pm
Wed. Sept. 22 Tilbury Ice Centre 2:30-4:15pm
Thur. Sept. 23 TBA
Fri. Sept. 24 Pacific Coliseum 3:00-4:45pm

Practice on Thursday may be at the Pacific Coliseum, if the ice in the building is ready. If there is no ice at the Coliseum, the team will practice at Tilbury. Any questions can be directed to Joey Kenward.

The Giants play their first game of the regular season Saturday Sept. 25 against the Portland Winterhawks. Face off is 7:00pm at the Pacific Coliseum.
