Cranbrook, BC -- Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today announced the club will unveil their third jersey on Saturday, September 25 when they host the Spokane Chiefs at the Cranbrook Rec Plex. The ICE have worn the same home (white base with blue, black and bronze trim) and away (blue base with white, black and bronze trim) uniforms since their inception into the Western Hockey League in 1996. The third jersey along with the existing uniforms was designed by Jack Santos of Visible Means Design in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

"We think our fans are really going to like the new look of the third jersey. We think it is an old style uniform that encompasses both our existing logo and colors. It has been a long time coming, but with the process as involved as it is, we wanted to make sure it was compatible with the rest of our equipment," added Chynoweth.

For the first half of the 2004-2005 WHL regular season all teams will wear their road jerseys on home ice. The ICE will wear their third jerseys for all Saturday home games along with other special nights throughout the regular season. The new third jersey will be available for purchase at Kootenay Collectibles in the Cranbrook Rec Plex starting on Saturday, September 25 after the start of the game.
