Giants Announce Change to 2021 Preseason Schedule
September 13, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Vancouver Giants News Release
Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants in conjunction with the Kelowna Rockets and the Western Hockey League announced today that the preseason game between the Vancouver Giants and Kelowna Rockets that was originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 15th at the Ladner Leisure Centre has been cancelled due to a lack of available players.
"The combination of players currently attending NHL training camps, and the number of recent injuries sustained during Training Camp have made it so that the Vancouver Giants are unable to ice a reasonably sized roster. The safety of our players remains our top priority," said Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta.
The Vancouver Giants are still scheduled to take the ice for two future preseason games:
Wednesday, September 22nd vs. Kamloops (7:00 PM - Ladner Leisure Centre)
Friday, September 24th vs. Prince George (7:00 PM - Cam Neely Arena, Maple Ridge)
