CORPUS CHRISTI - If you love super heroes and/or comic book characters - and who doesn't - we have the Hooks game for you.

Friday brings Hooks-Arkansas Travelers Texas League baseball at 7:05, plus Comic-Christi Night, presented by Radiology Associates. Whataburger Field gates open at 5:30.

So... break out that special costume of yours and join us for a pregame parade around the warning track at 6:20. You'll automatically be entered in our costume contest! Come to the box office in your costume and receive $1 off the price of a game ticket.

You'll enjoy superhero-themed video board graphics and music throughout the evening. Captain America and Superman are expected to attend; the Hooks will wear Captain America Jerseys, a live auction held to benefit Hooks Help, the team's youth-education-charity initiative.

Also, purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win the "Batman" cleats of Houston Astros pitcher and former Hook Lance McCullers.

Every Friday means Friday Fireworks, presented by Bud Light, and you can sign up at Guest Services to compete in the Texas Lottery Scratch-Off Dance Off.
