Get Ready to Get Retro with Renway & the Bulldogs
January 19, 2024 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Brantford Bulldogs News Release
The Brantford Bulldogs, along with our partners at Renway Energy are excited to step back in time on Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs host the Windsor Spitfires for the only time this season at 4:00pm for RENWAY RETRO NIGHT!
The Bulldogs will be honouring the rich hockey history of the Brantford community & the Civic Center itself. Former Brantford Alexanders will be in attendance as we celebrate the team that blazed the trail for the Bulldogs in the OHL.
Calling the Civic Centre home from 1978 to 1984, the Alexanders sent over two dozen alumni to the NHL, including the likes of Allan Bester, Rick Wamsley, Steve Smith, Randy Ladouceur, Darryl Evans, Ric Nattress, Mike Bullard, Bob Probert & Shayne Corson.
The Bulldogs will also be saluting the history of the Brantford Smoke who brought the Colonial Cup to the Civic Centre in 1993 & the Brantford Blast who brought the Allan Cup to the Civic Centre in 2008!
Be sure to arrive early as our friends at Renway & PE98 teamed up with the Bulldogs to put our own spin on a retro rally towel that will be on every seat at the Civic Centre.
So breakout the bell bottoms, fire up the 8-track & LETS GET RETRO!
