
Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance And Atlanta Dream Join Forces

ATLANTA, September 5, 2008- The Atlanta Dream and Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (GOCA) will officially announce the beginning of their community partnership prior to the Dream's game on September 8, 2008. Representatives from GOCA and Atlanta Dream President Bill Bolen will announce the partnership in the NuVox Room at Philips Arena at 6 p.m.
Together, GOCA and the Atlanta Dream will host the 2009 Corporate "HOOP IT UP" Challenge with proceeds benefitting GOCA. Coming in June 2009, "HOOP IT UP" is tentatively designed as a 5 on 5, round robin basketball tournament to be held at Phillips Arena with an awards and recognition ceremony at half time of an Atlanta Dream game.
