Georgia Force return to AFL playoffs

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Georgia Force will make their second consecutive AFL playoff appearance this Sunday as the team matches up against the New York Dragons.

Georgia, under the leadership of second-year head coach Doug Plank will make another run at the AFL title after falling to the Colorado Crush, 51-48, in last year's Championship Game. The game will mark the first-time in the Force's five-year history that the team has qualified for the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. Despite losing to Philadelphia, 57-41, on Saturday night, the Force secured their playoff berth when Columbus lost to San Jose, 68-47, last weekend.

The Force will play the New York Dragons on Sunday, May 21, at 3:00 p.m., in Nassau Coliseum. Georgia finished the regular season 8-8 and New York finished 9-7.
