February 10, 2004 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Georgia Force News Release
ATLANTA, GA. â Virgil Williams, Owner and Chief Executive Officer of the Georgia Force, along with Force Advisory Board Chairman and current University of Georgia Athletic Director Vince Dooley announced the twelve members that will comprise the Georgia Force's Advisory Board today. Those individuals selected as Force Advisory Board members are:
Taz Anderson
Kevin Butler
David Hunter
Betty Jaynes
Kim King
Bruce Lucia
Billy Payne
Ronda Rich
Frank Ros
Herman Russell
Herschel Walker
Chris Welton
"It is a pleasure for me to be announcing these individuals as members of the Georgia Force Advisory Board," said Dooley. "Each member is someone whom I admire and respect for their business and sports accomplishments, as well as their contributions to the community. It was important to me during the selection process to find individuals who are not only fans of the game but believe in what the Force and the AFL stands for from the Fans Bill of Rights to the play on the field. Each member will bring their own unique strengths to the Advisory Board in helping this team reach new levels."
The Georgia Force Advisory Board was established to counsel management on matters, which effect the business operations of the team off field, and the coaching staff on football operations related to on field activities. The Board will advise management on community and public affairs, press relations, marketing programs, recruiting, team rules and other team policies.
"When we decided to establish the Georgia Force Advisory Board, it was our goal to bring together community leaders, business leaders and leaders from the sports community," said Williams. "I feel Vince has accomplished that with his selections. The experience and reputations that each one of these individuals' posses is going to be an invaluable resource to this organization for years to come. I am excited to be welcoming each of them into the Georgia Force family."
