GENERALS WEEK IN REVIEW October 23-October 29

Wednesday, October 25 Rockford @ Flint PPD

The game between Rockford and Flint scheduled for October 25 has been rescheduled for Sunday, December 3 at 4:00p.m. at Perani Arena in Flint.

Friday, October 27 Flint 5 @ Elmira 8

The Generals had their largest scoring output in a game this season with five goals against Elmira. The Generals also scored their first even strength goals of the season with three in this game. Unfortunately, they lost their fourth straight game with an 8-5 decision against Elmira. The Jackals had two power play goals and three short handed goals in the win. David Frawley had two goals for the Generals with Gerard Miller, Jan Jas and Justin Kinnunen each scoring one. Bryan Worosz made 22 saves on 29 shots in the loss.

Saturday, October 28 Flint 2 @ Elmira 3 SO

The Generals ended their regulation loss streak at four games with a 3-2 shootout loss at Elmira. The Jackals took a 1-0 lead with a power play goal in the first period. Martin Ondrej scored his first goal of the season, a power play goal, to tie the game 1-1 at 17:21 of the first period. The Jackals scored a late second period goal to take a 2-1 lead. Jason Selleke scored his team leading third goal of the season at 9:24 of the third period to tie the game 2-2. Elmira outscored Flint 2-0 in the shootout for the 3-2 win. Bryan Worosz made 26 saves on 28 shots in the loss.

PREVIEW OF UPCOMING GENERALS GAMES October 30-November 5

Friday, November 3 Flint @ Chicago 8:30p.m.

The Generals begin a three game weekend with their first trip ever to Chicago. This will be the first home game of the season for the Hounds. Chicago beat the Generals 5-0 in Flint on October 20.

Saturday, November 4 Flint @ Kalamazoo 7:30p.m.

The Generals travel to Kalamazoo for the second time this season. The Wings beat the Generals 3-2 in Kalamazoo's home opener on October 21.

Sunday, November 5 Fort Wayne @ Flint 4:00p.m.

The Generals return home for their first game at Perani Arena since October 22. This will be the first game of the season against the Komets. The Komets enter the week with a 4-1-0 record and first in the Western Conference.

Generals Player of the Week:

The Generals Player of the Week is David Frawley. Frawley scored two goals and had an assist in an 8-5 loss on Friday. He also finished the week at +1.

Generals Goaltender of the Week:

The Generals Goaltender of the Week is Bryan Worosz. Worosz finished the week 0-1-1 and made 48 saves on the 57 shots he faced.
