Tonight the Niagara IceDogs hit the road for their second game of the week. They faced off against the Oshawa Generals.
Niagara got off to a hot start with a power play goal from Gushchin. However, Oshawa returned it quickly. The Generals were able to get another on their power play and a third later in the period.
After 20 minutes of play, Oshawa led 3-1.
The second period started off with a 4-minute power play for the Dogs. Gushchin was able to get his second of the game on this power play. The Generals were able to return this on their power play.
After 40 minutes, the score sat at 4-2 in favour of Oshawa.
The third period saw lots of action. Captain Cameron Butler was able to put one in the net late in the third. However, Oshawa returned another on the empty net.
Ultimately, the Oshawa Generals take the win 5-3.
Your Dogs look to bounce back tomorrow night at home when they face the Mississauga Steelheads.
