Flint Generals News Release

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League remind everyone to share in the Christmas Holiday spirit, especially this weekend as the Generals hosts Danbury on Friday, December 10, 2004 and Elmira on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Perani Arena.

On Friday, it is our annual Toys for Tots campaign with the U.S. Marines. The Generals are asking all fans to bring a gift or toy for donation to help brighten the lives of the less fortunate so they may have gifts or toys for their children this holiday season.

On Saturday, we have the "Teddy Bear Toss". The Generals ask all fans to bring a new our semi-used toy Teddy Bear to toss on the ice when the Generals score their first goal of the game against the Elmira Jackals. The bears will be collected and the Generals' players will distribute them to sick children as a part of team visits to local area hospitals in Genesee County.

"These two nights are very special to our organization," said Vice President/Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. "The Flint Generals Hockey Club encourages our entire community to be a part of these specials night as we all share in the spirit of giving during holiday season."
