December 18, 2008 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Flint Generals News Release

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the International Hockey League host the Bloomington Prairie Thunder tonight at Perani Arena at 7:00 P.M. This is the fifth meeting of the season with each team posted 2 victories each. Flint enters this contest with a record of 8-15-1-2 for 19 points good for a 3 point cushion over Bloomington with a record of 8-13-0-0 for 16 points.

Flint has been playing their best hockey of the year over the past two weeks with a 3-1-0-1 record in their last 5 games. With a victory tonight, the Generals would edge closer to the top of the pack in the IHL and could draw to within 4 points of the idle 4th place Muskegon Lumberjacks.

The Generals are led by John PiPace (16g, 18a, 34 pts.), Steve Rymsha (14g, 18a, 32 pts.) and Greg Bullock (9g, 20a, 29 points). Bloomington is led by Jan Booris (12g, 14a, 26 pts.) and former General Don Parsons (14g, 9a, 23 pts). All eyes will be on Parsons who is only two goals shy of tying the minor league professional hockey record for goals scored. Parsons has 665 goals and is chasing another former General, Kevin Kerr who currently holds the record at 667.
