LumberJacks Auction Gold Jerseys

December 18, 2008 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release

MUSKEGON, MI.--- When the Muskegon Lumberjacks play host to their long-time archrivals, the defending league champions, the Fort Wayne Komets Friday night at Walker Arena, they will be donning their special "Vegas" Gold jerseys for the third and final time.

Immediately following the game, the Lumberjacks organization will conduct a special post-game auction of these special "Vegas" Gold jerseys with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Baird Family Fund in honor of Jason Baird. Signed to a contract by the Lumberjacks for the current 2008-09 International Hockey League season, Jason was severely burned in a landscaping accident last summer on July 17, 2008.

The auction of these special Lumberjacks jerseys will represent the very first opportunity for the Lakeshore community to obtain an official game worn jersey since the advent of the second coming of the new IHL Lumberjacks.

The Lumberjacks wrap-up an extended five-game home stand Friday night at 7:00 pm when they engage in combat with their Indiana neighbors, the Komets.

To celebrate the holiday season, the new Lumberjacks ownership group is presenting "$5 Friday." All tickets for tomorrow night's game are specially-priced at only $5 for everyone.

Plenty of excellent, choice seats are still available for tomorrow night's game.
