Generals Fall for Fifth Straight Time

Flint, MI- Friday night, the Flint Generals and the Dayton Gems played their first of two games this weekend. The Generals lost their 5th straight and 10th overall by a score of 4-1.
Jamie Schaafsma scored the only Generals goal of the first period at 16:34.
Dayton scored first with an unassisted goal from John Snowden at 13:15. Joe VanCulin scored second with a power play goal at 14:49, getting assist from Edgars Brancis. They made it 3-1 with a penalty shot by Sam Bloom.
Rob Nolan started in net to kick off the second period. Tim Hartung scored short handed at 7:16 of the second period.
Nolan stopped 21 of 22 total shots faced through 40:00 minutes.
