Generals bring in Bogas and Clarke

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals announced Friday the signings of defenseman Chris Bogas and center Brent Clarke.

Bogas is a 6'1" 205 pound defenseman from Ohio who has ten seasons of professional experience behind him, most recently playing the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons with the Port Huron IceHawks. The 33-year old veteran and Michigan State University graduate joined the Generals earlier this season but behind the bench with fellow Spartans alumnus Jason Muzzatti as Assistant Coach.

Clarke is a young center from Bolton, Ontario. He began his professional career at the start of the 2007-08 season, signing with the Bloomington PrairieThunder, and rejoined the team for a second season in 2008-09. During his time in Bloomington, Clarke scored 16 goals and 17 assists.

The Generals return to action tonight when the Dayton Gems come to town. There will be a lot of activity throughout tonight's game, as it is "Lapeer Minor Hockey and College Night." The team has tomorrow off but a few of the players will be at Dunham's Sports on Miller Rd. in Flint from 1-3, signing autographs, taking pictures and meeting with fans. Sunday they head down to Dayton for game two of their home and home with the Gems. All three previous games between the Generals and the Gems have been one goal games, including a shootout at Perani Arena last Wednesday.
