GEMS GOALIES ROCK:
Derek MacIntyre played 1:53:53 minutes of shut out hockey until 2ndperiod Sunday. This includes 2 shut out games in a row! This sets an New Gems record for the new franchise.
Ryan Mior and Derek MacIntrye teamed up to have a total of 3 games of shut out hockey for the Gems.
Speaking of Ryan Mior he was called up to the Rochester Americans last week and played against the Manitoba Moose with 22 saves. Sunday he had 30 saves during an Amerk win over the Abbotsford Heat. Ryan will return to the Gems for the road trip this weekend.
This weekend...
This weekend as the Gems beat the Komets - Nathan Oke and Derek Parker each scored their first goals as Gems.
During the Dayton game against Port Huron - both Sam Bloom and Tim Hartung scored 2 goals each.
