ROCHESTER, MI--- The IHL saw two more shutouts recorded this past week by goaltenders. On Friday, Muskegon's Sebastien
Centomo, who was named the Meijer's IHL Goaltender of the Month for November last week, made a total of 20 saves against the second-place Port Huron Icehawks to earn his first shutout as a member of the Lumberjacks. It was Centomo's 19th professional career shutout. Over the weekend, Centomo had 103:10 of impressive shutout goalkeeping, spanning over five consecutive periods of hockey.

The following night, Dayton's rookie netminder Derek MacIntyre turned aside all 34 shots he faced against the Fort Wayne Komets to earn back-to-back shutouts in his last two starts. MacIntyre recorded 150:11 of shutout hockey over the last three games. He currently leads all IHL goaltenders with two shutouts and Saturday's was the third of his young professional career.

The Flint Generals have been heating up as of late, currently being unbeaten in regulation in their last four games. They had their three-game winning streak snapped Sunday in a 3-2 overtime loss to Fort Wayne. The Generals are also currently riding a two-game home winning streak, defeating Muskegon 4-3 in a shootout last Sunday and coming up victorious against the Bloomington PrairieThunder 5-2 Friday.

Dayton's Ryan Mior was called up to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL) this past Tuesday (12/01). Mior started for Americans the following night and made his second start Sunday night. Mior made a total of 52 saves, allowing only three goals against in his two games. He currently has a 1-1-0 record with a .945 save percentage and a 1.51 goals against average so far for the Americans. Also staying put in the AHL has been Fort Wayne's Matt Syroczynski. He has been with the Norfolk Admirals since October 28th, playing 18 games. In those 18 games, Syroczynski has scored four goals and had two assists for six points.

Bloomington PrairieThunder (0-1-0-0)- For the first time this season, the PrairieThunder have failed to gain a point in the standings in consecutive, multiple games. Through their first 11 games, the PrairieThunder scored 46 goals (4.1 per game) and allowed 37 (3.3 per game) for a 7-3-0-1 record. Over the last eight games, the PrairieThunder have scored 16 goals (2.0 per game) and allowed 36 (4. 5 per game) for a 2-4-1-1 mark. Leading scorer Craig Macdonald has failed to score a point in the last three games. Likewise, other PrairieThunder point producers Jamie Carroll and Bill Bagron have struggled late. Carroll has gone five games without a point and Bagron has one point in seven games. Defenseman Russ Smith has scored nine points in 19 games. Last year he had 10 in 33 games.

Dayton Gems (1-1-0-0)- Ryan Mior and Derek MacIntrye teamed up to have a total of three games of shut out hockey for the Gems. Derek MacIntyre played 150:11 of shut out hockey until the second period Sunday. This includes back-to-back shut out games in a row, which sets a Gems record for the new franchise. Ryan Mior he was called up to the Rochester Americans last week and played against the Manitoba Moose with 22 saves. Sunday he had 30 saves during an Americans win over the Abbotsford Heat. Ryan will return to the Gems for the road trip this weekend. This weekend Nathan Oke and Derek Parker each scored their first goals as Gems. Sunday against Port Huron, both Sam Bloom and Tim Hartung scored two goals apiece.

Flint Generals (1-0-1-0)- The Generals continued to move down the right path this past weekend going 1-0-1-0 beating Bloomington handedly 5-2 and falling just short in OT to the Komets 3-2. Rookie netminder Rob Nolan was between the pipes for both games now playing in four straight games, with the three points, they collected five of six possible points. Nate Ward scored his 50th career goal Thursday in Fort Wayne. Tyler Willis needs three points to reach 400 regular season points and is four games away from 700 regular season games played. Veteran Greg Bullock needs five goals to reach his 50th with the Generals. Rookie John Mori named Rookie of the Month for the month of November, continued to put points on the board this weekend, scoring three points (1 goal, 2 assists) on Friday.
 Fort Wayne Komets (1-1-0-1)- Defenseman Guy Dupuis, who sets a new Komet record for games played with each appearance, is expected to skate his 900th Fort Wayne game (regular season and playoffs) Wednesday when the Komets host Port Huron. Dupuis is also six points from tying the Komets' record of regular season points by a defenseman set by Jim Burton at 482. Justin Chwedoruk had his goal-scoring streak snapped at an IHL season-high six games (6 goals) Saturday, Dec. 5 at Dayton. Goaltender Tim Haun has started 13 straight games. The last time a Fort Wayne goaltender started more was Kevin Reiter's mark of 16 straight games in 2007-08. Haun leads IHL goalies with 15 games played and 914 minutes.

Muskegon Lumberjacks (2-0-0-0)- In their last 14 games, the Lumberjacks record stands at 11-1-0-2, earning 24 of a possible 28 points. Muskegon is the only team in the IHL so far this season not to sustain back-to-back defeats. Center Todd Robinson's current 11-game point streak represents the longest so far this season in the IHL. Robinson has recorded 23 points (7 goals, 16 assists) during the stretch. Left wing Bobby Bolt played his 100th pro career game Saturday night in his team's 6-2 win over Quad City. Robin Bouchard is five assists away from pro career 700. Goaltender Sebastien Centomo is presently on a personal seven game win streak with a goals against average of 1.81 and a save percentage of .920. His last loss was back on October 31st in Fort Wayne.

Port Huron Icehawks (1-1-0-0)- With the loss in Muskegon, the Icehawks drop to 0-4 against the Lumberjacks this season. In contrast, they improved to 4-0 so far against Dayton. The Icehawks continued to dominate on the penalty kill this week, allowing just one power play goal in eight chances. They have allowed just nine power play goals this season and have been the only team in single-digits in that category since mid-November. Opposing teams have been shut down on 88.6% of power play chances against the Icehawks this season, also the best in the league. The Icehawks outshot the Dayton Gems 37-23 in Sunday's win, improving to a league-best 9-1-0-1 when outshooting their opponent. The team has had 37 shots or more in five games this season and are currently second in shots per game in the IHL at 32.05.

Quad City Mallards (1-1-0-0)- Saturday's 6-2 loss at Muskegon ended the Mallards' three game winning streak and five game regulation unbeaten streak (3-0-1-1). The defeat was the first in regulation since a 3-1 loss in Port Huron on Nov. 20th. The three game winning streak was not only the Mallards' longest such streak of the season, but also their first winning streak. The Mallards remain unbeaten in regulation (3-0-1-1) in their last five home games. The Flock has not lost in regulation at the i wireless Center since falling to Flint 3-2 on Oct. 30th. Patrick Levesque is in the midst of a six-game point scoring streak (5g, 3a, 8pts) and has now taken over the team lead in points, moving into a tie with Mike Zbriger for the top spot on the club in goal scoring. The streak matches the longest point scoring streak by a Mallard this season.
