
Gems Lose To Prairie Thunder 4-1

The Dayton Gems traveled to US Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington for their 9th battle with the Prairie Thunder.
The Gems came out strong in the 1st. Only 6:02 into the game Dayton rookie, Jon Ornelas scored with the help of Corey Couturier and Mike Vaskivuo. The Gems would hold the Prairie Thunder scoreless for the rest of the period. Bloomington would control the rest of the evening scoring twice in the last half of the 2nd period and twice more in the 3rd. Dayton would outshoot Bloomington 35 : 32. Final score Bloomington 4 - Dayton 1. Dayton's record is now 20 - 30 - 3 - 1.
Tell all your friends WONE 980's Mark Schlemmer will be broadcasting before the game on Friday, February 26th. Fans of Mark's can head to the Hara pub at 3pm and stay for the 7:30pm game when the Gems take on their old rivals the Fort Wayne Komets. Be sure to purchase seating in the WONE Schlemmer section (Section 11 - 12).
It's Frothy Friday so it's a night with bargain $2 drafts.

February 27th when the Gems take on the Quad City Mallards at Hara Arena at 730p is Trotwood Night The Gems welcome friends, families, businesses and local groups from Trotwood to support their communities. Group seating is available. Trotwood Madison schools are encouraged to participate. This is a special city night sponsored by the Trotwood Parks and Recreation Department. A portion of all presale tickets purchased will benefit the Parks and Recreation Department - contact Mr. Terry Lodge for tickets and group participation at 837 - 7771.
All adult tickets only $10. Student and Children tickets $7. Groups are welcome and parking is free.
Monday evenings join the Gems at Fox and Hound in Beavercreek at 9pm as they become Dayton Icon judges .
