Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack is announcing that forward Artur Gavrus will not play tonight in game two of the Western Conference Quarter Finals against the Kitchener Rangers and is out indefinitely. The Belarussian forward sustained an upper body injury in the first period of Friday evening's game in Kitchener and will be reassessed by team doctors on Monday.
The Ontario Hockey League has released that Rangers Forward Tyler Randell has been suspended indefinitely for his hit on Gavrus, pending a review by league officials.
The Attack is already without leading scorer Michael Halmo (suspended), Kurtis MacDermid (Mono) and Jarrod Maidens (Upper Body).
Game two goes tonight at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound. Tickets are still available at the Attack Box Office, by calling (519) 371-7452 or online at www.attackhockey.com .
