
Gavin Morgan Returns To Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Gavin Morgan has been loaned to the Royals from the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. In separate transactions also announced today, forward Greg Scott and goaltender Andrew Engelage have been assigned to the Royals from the Marlies. In another transaction announced today, the Royals released goaltender Kain Tisi from his Amateur Tryout Agreement.
Morgan, an eleventh year pro who hails from East York, Ontario, but resides in Hershey, Pennsylvania, started the season with the Royals and played a total of twenty games with Reading, scoring two goals, assisting on thirteen others (fifteen points) and picking up thirty penalty minutes. During his time with the Royals, Morgan earned three separate call ups to the Hershey Bears of the AHL, where he played a total of thirteen games, registering two points (1g-1a) and twenty-penalty minutes. On January, 1, 2010, Morgan was loaned to the San Antonio Rampage, who signed him to an AHL Standard Players Contract. While with the Rampage, Morgan picked up seventeen points (8g-9a) and forty-two penalty minutes in forty-seven games.
This marks the fourth assignment to Reading for Scott, a first year pro from Victoria, British Columbia. In his most recent stint, Scott played the first two games of the American Conference Quarter-Final match-up against the Kalamazoo Wings, picking up an assist on the goal that proved to be the game winner (by Marc Cavosie) in Game Two. In five regular season games with the Royals, Scott picked up two points (1g-1a) and two penalty minutes. Scott was the third leading scorer for the Marlies, scoring ten goals, assisting on twenty-two others (thirty-two points) and picking up twenty-eight penalty minutes. For Engelage, a first year pro from Oshawa, Ontario, this is his fourth trip to Reading, as well. In eleven games with Reading this season, Engelage compiled a record of 7-3-0-0 with a 3.89 goals against average and .887 save percentage. In ten games with the Marlies this season, Engelage went 2-6-0 with a 4.27 gaa and .860 save percentage. Tisi joined the Royals on April 2 after the completion of his senior season at St. Lawrence University. He played in one game for Reading, an 8-4 victory over the Trenton Devils in the final game of the regular season, during which he made forty-two stops on forty-six shots.
The Royals and K-Wings play a decisive Game Five in their American Conference Quarter-Final Series on Monday (April 12 @ 7:05 pm) at the Sovereign Center. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 6:35 pm.
