PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Monday that the Board of Governors has unanimously approved the Transfer of Controlling Interest in the Stockton Thunder membership.
The Board approved the transfer from Stockton Hockey Franchise Group, Inc., an entity controlled by Michael Reinsdorf, to SC Hockey Franchise Corp., an entity controlled by Brad Rowbotham. Stockton City Council approved the lease assignment to the new owner last week.
"The ECHL would like to welcome Mr. Brad Rowbotham as the owner of one of our flagship teams," ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna said. "At the same time, I would also like to thank Michael Reinsdorf for the professionalism and dedication he brought to our League over the past five years in building the Thunder membership."
