(Eastlake, OH)--Cole Garner's RBI single in the sixth inning Tuesday snapped a tie-score and led the Asheville Tourists to an 8-3 win over the Lake County Captains at Classic Park.
The Tourists (17-15) have taken the first two games of the series.
After the Captains battled back from an early 3-0 deficit to tie the game 3-3, Ernie Young, Jr. stroked a lead-off single off Albert Vargas (4-11) in the sixth. Young promptly stole second base, his second steal of the game and his 69th theft of the season. Garner followed one out later with a run-scoring single to left field to chase home Young for a 4-3 lead. Garner was 1-5 in the game.
