SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane's four-game winning streak was snapped at the hands of the Everett AquaSox on Thursday night, falling 9-5 in the final game of the six-game homestand on Yoke's $1 Family Feast Night presented by Yoke's Fresh Market and 92.9 ZZU.

For the third consecutive night, the Indians took a first inning lead. In his first start of the season, Troy Dixon ripped a double and came in to score on a Tanner Gardner RBI single, giving Spokane the early 1-0 lead.

That same Dixon-Gardner combination struck again in the third. With the game tied at one, Dixon hustled to beat out a bunt single. Two batters later, Gardner laced a triple into the right center field gap, scoring Dixon. Curtis Terry drove in Gardner on the next pitch, giving him his league leading 16th RBI of the season and Spokane a 3-1 lead.

Spokane starter Jake Latz (L, 0-1) cruised through the first four innings, but ran into trouble in the fifth. Everett struck for four runs on four hits, highlighted by a 2-run homer from Jansiel Rivera and a 2-run double from Connor Kopach. Latz finished the night surrendering six runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings.

Royce Bolinger was the bright spot out of Spokane's bullpen. After struggling in his first three outings, Bolinger struck out all six batters he saw on the night.

The Indians would fight for one last Redband Rally in the ninth. Trailing 9-4, Spokane got another RBI knock from Tanner Gardner, completing his three-hit, three RBI night. Curtis Terry followed with a base hit of his own and brought the sellout crowd of 7,034 to their feet. But the rally stalled from there. AquaSox reliever Joey Gerber stranded the tying run on deck, securing the 9-5 victory and snapping Spokane's four game winning streak.

The Indians will look to start a new winning streak when they head to Hillsboro for a five-game series. Spokane's next home game is Wednesday, July 4th for 4th of July Fireworks Night presented by NAPA Auto Parts, KREM 2, and 98.9 KKZX. Join us as we celebrate our nation's Independence with special edition hats that will be auctioned off to benefit the Fairchild Morale Fun. Stick around for a spectacular 4th of July Fireworks show immediately following the game.
