
Garces Wins Player of the Week for the Second Time This Season

West Valley City, UT â After going a perfect 9x9 on PATs against the Lake Charles LandSharks on Saturday, Utah Warriors' kicker Pete Garces was named the NIFL Pacific Conference special teams player of the week for week nine. Garces also recorded one solo tackle in the game, stopping LandShark return man Jermaine Martin from returning a kick for a score.
This season Garces is 49x52 on his PAT attempts, including his last 16 attempts. He is also has five field goals and 4.5 tackles. This is the second time this season that Garces has been named player of the week. Garces was named the Pacific Conference player of the week in week two after going 2x2 on field goals, including a career-high 49-yard kick.
