May 11, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Evansville BlueCats News Release

The Evansville Bluecats, riding a 2-game win streak, have added some depth to skill positions by signing veteran wide receiver Adrian Perez and rookie defensive back Matt Jackson leading into this week's home match-up with the Atlantic City Card Sharks.

Perez brings veteran experience and explosiveness to the Bluecats high-octane offense. The 6'0", 190-pound receiver has hauled in 78 receptions and 15 touchdowns in 3 NIFL seasons. He played with the Oklahoma Crude in 2002, the Sioux City Bandits and Rapid City Red Dogs in 2003 before moving on to the Ft. Wayne this year. Perez played in 4 games for the Freedom, garnering 5 receptions for 146 yards (an astounding 29.2 yards per catch) and 2 touchdowns.

Rookie Matt Jackson from the University of Florida brings a lot of versatility to the table. The 5'10", 198-pound former Gator played in 36 games as a wide receiver before moving to defensive back for the 2003 season. He was also a standout on the team's special teams unit.

Perez, Jackson and the Bluecats come into Roberts Stadium this Saturday seeking their 3rd win in a row. Kickoff is set for 7:05 PM in the first-ever match-up between the Bluecats and the expansion Card Sharks. Tickets can be purchased by calling 812-476-1383 extension 25, or by logging on to www.evansvillebluecats.com.
