GAME NOTES

Three Keys To The Game Presented By Nebraska Department Of Transportation

Key 1: Win The Special Teams Battle

- Sioux City enters this weekend third in the USHL in power-play percentage and sixth in penalty-kill percentage. The Musketeers defeated Sioux Falls last Saturday in part thanks to scoring two power-play goals and going 6-for-6 on the penalty kill. Meanwhile, Lincoln's power-play is red-hot, striking on 39.1-percent of opportunities over the last seven games and has scored at least one power-play goal in four consecutive games.

Key 2: Stretch The Streak To Five

- A win tonight would give the Stars five consecutive wins for the first time since Feb. 3-11 last season. Wins tonight and tomorrow would give the Stars their first five-game home winning streak since Oct. 8 - Nov. 23, 2022 when they won six consecutive games at the Ice Box. The only team with an active winning streak longer than Lincoln is Fargo at five games.

Key 3: Blue Line Production

- The Stars are 11-3 this season when a defenseman scores a goal. Nine of those 14 games have come at the Ice Box and there have been two games where multiple defenseman have scored. Adam Kleber leads Lincoln blue liners with five goals and his three-game winners are tied for first among all USHL defensemen.
