TODAY:

The Orlando Solar Bears face the South Carolina Stingrays after splitting this week's three-game series; Orlando came away with a 3-0 shutout victory on Saturday night. The victory gave the Solar Bears a two-point cushion against the Stingrays in the South Division, and a win today coupled with an Atlanta regulation loss could move the Solar Bears to within a point of the third-place Gladiators.

PERRY CONTINUES TO PERFORM ON POWER PLAY:

Joe Perry's power-play goal in the third period on Saturday was his third on the man advantage this season, tying him for first place in the entire ECHL. The third-year pro has also added a power-play assist, meaning he has been offensively involved in nearly a third of Orlando's conversions on the power play this season.

WATLING MAINTAINING OFFENSIVE PACE:

Patrick Watling's assist on Saturday gave him his fifth helper of the 2016-17 campaign and his seventh point in seven total games. The native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario has been a consistent point producer for the Solar Bears since arriving in the 2014-15 campaign; despite missing time due to injury in 2015-16, Watling is one of only three Solar Bears to maintain over a point-per-game level of production (60 points in 55 games) while appearing in multiple seasons for Orlando.

BAIER POISED TO HIT 300 CAREER ECHL GAMES:

Should Eric Baier dress in this afternoon's game, it will be the captain's 300 th career game patrolling an ECHL blueline. The veteran defender has spent the majority of his ECHL career with the Solar Bears after joining the team for the 2013-14 season, and is the team's all-time games played leader with 186. The six-year pro has also suited up in 49 games at the AHL level.
