New England Revolution News Release

*FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (7-6-8, 29 pts.) return home to host D.C. United (5-10-6, 21 pts.) on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium. New England's final home match of the regular season, and its first ever regular-season game played in November, kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBC Sports Boston, with Brad Feldman, Charlie Davies, and Naoko Funayama on the call. The contest will also air on the radio on 98.5 The Sports Hub, with Portuguese commentary available on WBIX 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA.

New England, which clinched its trip to the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs earlier this week, enters Sunday's contest in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings with two regular season games remaining. The Revolution will look to climb to sixth place or higher over the final two matches in order to bypass a single-elimination play-in match and advance directly to Round 1 of the playoffs. Sunday's game marks the fourth and final regular season meeting between the two MLS original sides, with New England registering victories in the previous two contests. The Revolution aim to log three wins over D.C. United in a single season for the first time since 2005. New England carries an 18-10-9 all-time regular season mark at Gillette Stadium against D.C. United, though the Black and Red come into Foxborough riding a three-game winning streak as they look to jump above the playoff line.

Diego Fagundez could make club history on Sunday, as the 10th-year midfielder from Leominster, Mass. needs one more appearance to pass Shalrie Joseph (261) for the most regular season games played in Revolution history. Joseph registered his 261st appearance at age 34, while Fagundez, the club's first-ever Homegrown Player signing, looks to surpass the mark at 25. Fagundez owns 53 goals with 45 assists and has accrued over 16,000 minutes played in his 261 appearances, including 186 starts. Fagundez also ranks among the top five in club history in goals, assists, shots, and shots on target.
