Matchup:
Chicago and Reading meet up for the second straight game at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA. The Express edged out the Royals on Wednesday, securing a 3-2 victory with two third period goals from LW Blair Riley and F Bobby Robins. The Express recorded their highest shot total of the season with 47 shots on goal while also picking up their first victory against a non-divisional opponent. RW Chaz Johnson also had an impact in the game as he scored the game's first goal while shorthanded and also assisted on Riley's tying goal in the third period.

Chicago is a perfect 6-0-0-0 when scoring the game's first goal, and 7-0-0-0 when leading after the first period...D Scott Wietecha was activated from the 21-day IR on Wednesday, and picked up a fighting major in his first regular season game. The Express have lost the services of their leading scorer, as LW Blair Riley has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. Riley currently leads the Express in goals (7) and points (16), and is tied for first in assists (9). The second year pro has played 15 games in the AHL, with one goal and two assists to go along with nine PIM. During his rookie season with the Las Vegas Wranglers, Riley finished second in goals (20), and third in points (40) while also recording 114 PIM.
