GAME Preview: Barnstormers at Sugar Skulls

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers (8-6) will face the Tucson Sugar Skulls (8-6) on July 9th. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:05 P.M. CST at the Tucson Arena in Arizona.
The Sugar Skulls come into Saturday night's matchup following a 53-47 victory over the San Diego Strike Force (3-11). The Sugar Skulls found themself ahead by just 5 with 38 seconds to go, and were able to seal the victory with a rushing touchdown from running back Mike Jones. Tucson clinched a playoff spot with the win.
Meanwhile, the Barnstormers travel to Tucson following a 35-26 victory over IFL reigning champions, the Massachusetts Pirates. It was a low scoring first half for both teams, but the Pirates were able to put points on the board in the third quarter and led 26-15 heading into the final quarter. The Barnstormers formulated a comeback with the help of an interception from defensive back JR Stevens and two Darius-James Peterson touchdowns.
