Team Scope:

PENSACOLA - The Ice Flyers are looking to get the sour taste of last Saturday's lost to 9th place Fayetteville out of their mouths. Corey Milan's overall record stands at 10-12-4 with a 3.34 goals against average and a .876 save percentage; his record with the Ice Flyers stands at 6-6-2, a 2.83 GAA, and a 0.894 SV%. Jesse Kallechy's overall numbers stand at 10-9-2, a 3.01 GAA, and a 0.908 SV%; with the Ice Flyers he's 4-1-0 with a 1.20 GAA and a 0.959 SV%. Chris Wilson still leads the team in points with 53 and goals with 29. Jordan Chong still leads the team in assists with 32.

The Ice Flyers' power play is in 2nd place in the SPHL at 19.34%. The Ice Flyers have scored 47 power play tallies on the year but they have given up 4 shorthanded goals. Pensacola's penalty kill continues to be middle of the road sitting 5th in the SPHL at 82.65%. The Ice Flyers have given up 34 power play goals but they have been able to score 7 shorthanded goals.

The Ice Flyers will again hit the road and head to eastern North Carolina for a Saturday night matchup with the Fayetteville FireAntz.

KNOXVILLE - While the Ice Flyers may be combating bus legs, the Ice Bears might not be at 100% either having played last night away to the Fayetteville FireAntz and losing 4-3 in OT. Between the pipes Knoxville looks to Kyle Rank and Matt Hache. Rank has a record of 7-2-3 with a 2.65 GAA and a 0.923 SV%. Hache has a combined record of 6-9-1, a 4.10 GAA, and a 0.865 SV. Knoxville's leading scorer is veteran Kevin Swider with a ridiculous 90 points. Emery Olauson has a team and league leading 40 goals while Swider also holds the assists lead with an unreal 62.

The Ice Bears' power play is somehow only 8th in the SPHL at 14.51%, scoring only 37 power play goals and allowing 5 shorthanded goals. Knoxville's penalty kill is also in 8th in the league at 80.87% with 44 power play goals against. They have managed to score 7 shorthanded goals, though.

The Ice Bears will be in action again tomorrow night as they complete their stretch of 3 games in 3 nights by hosting the Mississippi RiverKings.
