The Ice Flyers look to get back on track after last night's 6-4 loss to the Huntsville Havoc. Tonight the Flyers are in Augusta to take on the SPHL's first place team, the Augusta RiverHawks. Augusta has played 2 games already this week with a 4-3 OT win over Columbus on Wednesday and a 4-2 loss in Biloxi to the Mississippi Surge last night.

Team Scope:

PENSACOLA - The IceFlyers stumbled in their first game without Steve Christie in uniform since he signed in November. With Christie called up to Tulsa in the CHL, Adam Ward got the start. Ward now has a 4-7-1 record, a 3.62 goals against average, and a .875 save percentage. His new backup is Jeff Rose. Jordan Chong leads the team in scoring with 24 points, Matthew Robertson leads in goals with 13, and Tyler Soehner leads in assists with 17.

This game will wrap up the Ice Flyers weekend and the team's next games will be a two night stand in the Hangar against Augusta on January 20 and 21.

AUGUSTA - The RiverHawks will be looking to rebound after last nights' loss to the Mississippi Surge.

The Hawks have Jon Olthuis and Peter Skoggard between the pipes. Olthuis has a record of 8-4-1, a 3.37 GAA, and a 0.886 SV% while Skoggard has a record of 5-2-0, a 2.92 GAA, and a 0.895 SV%. The Hawks are lead by Jim Gehring who has 39 points, Gehring also leads the team with 28 goals, and Ed Snetsinger has 27 assists.

This game will conclude the weekend for Augusta as they will then visit the Hangar.
