Wilmington Blue Rocks News Release

Wilmington, DE - With a constant rainfall rendering Judy Johnson Field at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium too wet to play, the Wilmington Blue Rocks have postponed Monday's 6:35 p.m. game with the Potomac Nationals.

The Rocks and Nats will make up the contest as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, May 5, at 5:05 p.m. The Frawley Stadium gates will open at 4:30 p.m.

Wilmington will send Ray Liotta (1-1, 6.43) to the hill in game one, while right-hander Mario Santiago (1-2, 6.27) will start the nightcap. Liotta enters the contest looking for his first victory at Frawley Stadium in 2009, while Santiago will go for his second win in as many starts against the Nationals. The 24-year-old had his best outing of the season when he pitched six innings of one-run ball in Thursday's win at Potomac.

The Nats will counter with Will Atwood (0-3,11.65) in the opener, and Colton Willems in game two. Willems was a 2006 first-round draft pick and is making his 2009 and Advanced-A debut.

Also postponed is the Phillies World Series Trophy Tour's (presented by Teva Pharmaceuticals and Comcast SportsNet) stop at Frawley Stadium. But don't fret. Fans can still get their picture taken with baseball's ultimate prize when it comes to Frawley Stadium during the game against Lynchburg on Friday, June 5, 2009.

All tickets for Monday's scheduled contest are redeemable for one calendar year at any Blue Rocks game.
