DUBUQUE, IA-As the Dubuque Fighting Saints season continues to roll along, the club hosts a pair of games Friday and Saturday, with one that is sure to raise eyebrows. The Fighting Saints are hosting "Game of Thrones" Night on Saturday presented by media partner Eagle 102, and the evening will be much more than a tribute to the HBO show that has ties to Dubuque. The Fighting Saints will honor a different throne- the porcelain throne- for an evening all about the toilet as the team looks to defeat their rival Cedar Rapids. Saturday's game will help a great cause with a toilet paper drive to assist local shelters in need.

"Game of Thrones" Night is more than just a clever play on words. The Fighting Saints have partnered with Opening Doors, a local area non-profit that will donate toilet paper to the Maria House and Teresa Shelter. In order to help honor the throne, fans are being asked to help the Fighting Saints support those in need with a Toilet Paper Drive on Saturday. Any donations will help those in need, but like any human in the world, two-ply toilet paper is the preferred tissue of choice.

On display front and center Saturday will be the Fighting Saints own personal throne that would make Thomas Crapper, inventor of the toilet, proud. The porcelain throne will sit on the concourse of the Mystique Community Ice Center with lucky fans vying for a chance to be perched on top. With help from Lloyd Construction and Gerhards, the Fighting Saints have secured a hockey-themed porcelain throne fit for a king.

During a bathroom break Saturday, a lucky contestant will get to test their knowledge of the more traditional "Game of Thrones" TV show. The twist is the constant selected will be one that has just started to follow the show, and for every question they get wrong, their future viewing enjoyment will get a little closer to circling the drain as a spoiler from a future season will be revealed.

Dubuque has strong ties to "Game of Thrones." The program is based on books written by George R. R. Martin, who once resided in Dubuque. He has stated that the harsh winters in Iowa were part of the inspiration for the fringed temperatures the books and show are set in. The fifth season of the show premiers on HBO on April 12.

Saturday's game is also a Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup game. The "families" of Waterloo, Cedar Rapids and Dubuque compete for this annual trophy, and currently, the Fighting Saints have a four-point lead in the standings with two more chances to release their dragons against their rival "families."

Puck drop for Saturday's game against the RoughRiders is 7:05 p.m. and the game will be televised live on KCRG 9.2. Tickets for "Game of Thrones" Night are on sale now by calling 563.583.6880. Fans are encouraged to purchase in advance, because the Box Office gets clogged up from time to time, and fans will want to guarantee the best seat location before the crowd overflows and the seating bowl is filled.

Dubuque is also home Friday for the 4th annual Girls Night Out against Madison at 7:35 p.m. The evening features a special VIP pre-game package that includes many perks. The event will feature a wine tasting, courtesy of Stone Cliff Winery. Women will also get to enjoy cupcakes courtesy of J&D Catering, all while listening to a Fighting Saints coach host a Hockey 101 session. Women who purchase the VIP package will also get to take home a Fighting Saints wine opener. The VIP package costs $20, and includes a ticket to the game. Individuals who already have a ticket to the game may add the VIP pre-game package for just $12. Space is limited, and women who would like to sign up for the special event are encouraged to call 563.583.6880.

Friday's game is also the final College Night of the 2014-2015 regular season. The special package includes a ticket to the game, plus $5 in Saints Bucks for only $10 with a valid college ID. The Saints Bucks may be used for concessions and merchandise at the Mystique Community Ice Center. The special deal maybe purchase over the phone by calling 563.583.6880 or by visiting the Fighting Saints Box Office.
