
Game Notes vs. Peoria

Johnstown Chiefs News Release
Tonight the Johnstown Chiefs (7-9-1) and the Peoria Rivermen (9-4-2) meet for the fourth time this season. Last night, the Chiefs had three different leads during the game and still lost to the Rivermen 4-3 at the War Memorial. Tyler Rennette's second goal of the game with 6:05 to play was the game winner. The Chiefs lead 3-2 with just over 12:00 to in regulation before Rivermen defenseman Arvid Rekis tied the game 3-3. Kevin Granato also scored for the Rivermen, his first goal of the season. P.L. Courchesne scored two goals for the Chiefs while Steve Hildenbrand tallied his second of the season for Johnstown. Peoria goaltender Duane Derksen (4-4-1) got the win making 25 saves, while Chiefs goaltender Mark Scally (2-1-1) suffered his first loss of the season making 21 saves.
Johnstown/Peoria Season Series:
This is the fourth of eight games this season between the two teams. The Chiefs are 1-2-0 against the Rivermen this season and 16-22-3 all-time. The Rivermen return to the War Memorial in two weeks for a pair of games (12/13-12/14).

Darren Clark registered in 100th and 101st assist in a Rivermen uniform last night.......................Tyler Rennette scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season last night. The two goals were his first even strength goals this season. He leads the team with 6 PPG, and 3 SHG. Rennette has four goals against the Chiefs this season (3 games)..............................The Rivermen are 6-1-2 in one goal games this season........................Peoria is 6-3-1 in their last ten games..........................Goaltender Duane Derksen is 2-0-1 against the Chiefs this season with a 1.62 GAA and a 0.939 save percentage.
