Greensboro Generals News Release
GREENSBORO GENERALS
The Generals were defeated by the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 4-2 on Thursday night. Greensboro leapt out to a 2-0 lead after one period on goals from Shane Campbell and Pete Gardiner. The game remained 2-0 into the third period thanks to some tremendous penalty killing from the Generals. However, the game turned in a stretch of just over three minutes. Atlantic City scored shorthanded with 10:53 to go in the game to get on the board, then added two goals just nine seconds apart moments later to take the lead for good. Atlantic City added an empty net goal for the final difference.
FLORIDA EVERBLADES
The Everblades dropped a 5-1 decision to the Charlotte Checkers last night on the road. Florida fell behind 2-0 in the first seven minutes of the contest, but they closed the gap in half on Anthony Battaglia's first goal as a pro before the break. Charlotte blew the game wide open in the second period, scoring three unanswered power play goals for a 5-1 advantage. Cam McCormick suffered the loss in goal in his professional debut, but played well saving 41 of 46 shots on the night. The Everblades were outshot 46-19 on the night.
