Following a 2-0 road loss on Sunday to D.C. United, Sounders FC (14-10-8, 50 points) travels to face the San Jose Earthquakes (13-13-5, 44 points) on Sunday, September 29 at Avaya Stadium. This marks the second MLS regular-season meeting between the clubs this season. Seattle and San Jose played to a 2-2 draw on April 24 at CenturyLink Field.

Sounders FC and the San Jose Earthquakes played to a 2-2 draw at CenturyLink Field on April 24, meaning the Heritage Cup will be decided in this Sunday's matchup at Avaya Stadium (Charis Wilson / Seattle Sounders FC).

Sunday's match is being broadcast locally on JOEtv and regionally on YouTube TV, featuring Keith Costigan, Kasey Keller and Steve Zakuani on the call. A Spanish-language broadcast is available on Univision-Seattle, with Jaime Mendez handling play-by-play and Diego Arrioja on analyst duties.

Sports Radio 950 KJR AM is airing the contest, with Matt Johnson and Danny Jackson handling the commentary, as well as Jackson Felts, Wade Webber and Pete Fewing on pre-match, halftime and post-match coverage. Sounders FC clinched its league-record 11th consecutive postseason berth on Wednesday evening, as Portland's draw with New England and San Jose's loss to Philadelphia secured the Rave Green a spot in the 2019 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Following Sunday's match, Brian Schmetzer's club hosts a Decision Day match against Minnesota United FC on Sunday, October 6 (1:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, Univision-Seattle, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
